Gondola

Wonderful fun

I enjoyed the whole experience of riding the gondola and then riding the luge. The views from the top were spectacular as well. I would certainly recommend this as a must-do activity in Queenstown.
Very good views of Lake Wakatipu , and the luge is fun too. A good way to pass some time if you have it. Did not try the meals but I could not resist having a hot chocolate and carrot cake.
It was also fun watching the paragliders taking off from the mountain.

I am more here I more and more thinking of staying in Queenstown forever:). I have not seen other places in New Zealand but this amazing place.

Queenstown

South Island

all seasons in one day 10 °C

I am amazed with Queenstown. A fresh air, nice view from my balcony are just few things that can describe this place as absolutely beautiful. Ski season has started already....and I am looking forward to snowboarding. The scenic values are uncomparible with anything that I can think of at the moment. There are no words that could describe this place. Anyway, I was looking for a job these days and found a part time job in a restaurant. I was thinking that some extra earnings would increase my spendings on travelling., which is good isn't it?! It is only evening job and want ruin my daily plans and activities that I was planning to do in Queenstown. A year time is more than enough to explore South and North Island, in winter and summer. "Winter might be better in South and summer in North island". That is what I heard from most travellers.
When I arrived I stayed at YHA hostel in Queenstown I met nice people from Argentina and Germany that are planning on staying a year time. Most of us, I mean backpackers are here to travel and work. However, our expectations are sometimes too high due to different stories heard from different travellers. Most of "us" think that job is waiting for us in New Zealand but we forget that there are also local people that are seeking for a job too. One person was treated well in one place whilst another wasn't bla,bla,bla....I was listening those stories every day and I am already tired. How we can rely on strangers?! We have to follow ourselves, our feelings, our experiances whether they are good or bad, that was coming across my mind while they were talking.
..........I am here to enjoy...that is all I want.
